Through ECC Libraries, you have access to books housed at the two campus libraries, nearly 200,000 ebooks available online, and books available through inter-library loan from all the community colleges across the state of North Carolina. In addition you can borrow books from four-year college and universities in the Greenville area through our cooperating ECC Colleges agreement.
To perform an Interlibrary loan you may contact the library for help by phone/email, or watch the tutorial below for step by step instructions on how to perform one by yourself. You use the online catalog to search for books or materials from all the libraries in the North Carolina Community College Consortium. You must get your staff/faculty ID registered in the library system which will require you to come into the library with your ID. You use your staff/faculty ID barcode number as your username and a four-digit pin number you create as your password.
It usually takes 3 to 5 business days to receive materials through Interlibrary loan. Once an item arrives we will contact you via phone or email to come and check out the materials. You are usually given 3 weeks to 1 month for a check out period. Once you have finished with the materials you simply bring it back to the library and we return it to the originating library.
Some materials may not be available for ILL's but you may contact a librarian to see about getting a copy for ECC library if that happens.
