Adult Basic Education

Adult Basic Education (ABE) is a program of instruction designed to address the educational needs of adults seeking improvement in reading, writing, speaking, problem solving, and computation skills. The ABE program provides educational opportunities that will allow adults to function more effectively in society, on the job, or in the family setting.

The classes are managed enrollment with an attendance policy.  There is no cost for registration. Materials are provided by the Basic Skills Program.  They are prepared to meet the needs and interests of adult with a special emphasis on employability and transitioning to curriculum.

Classes are offered on both the Tarboro and Rocky Mount campuses.  Off campus classes are located at various sites throughout the Edgecombe County area.
