Deborah received her undergraduate degree from ECU with a BS in Elementary Education. She taught in the Public Schools for 21 years. In 2004, she returned to ECU to complete a Master's Degree in Library Science. She was the Librarian at G. W. Carver Elementary School and C. B. Martin Middle School for 6 years. She has worked at ECC for 3 years as Librarian and now as Director of Library Services.
